10 Minute Mile Playlist: I Love the 80’s Edition

Get out your leg warmers and your tease up your hair!  It’s time to go back to the 80’s!

I’m having fun putting together some new running playlists on Spotify.  I’ve been using to find songs and to determine a songs beats per minute if I can’t find the information online somewhere.  I’ll be running a fun glow run this weekend and I’m looking forward to trying out a new playlist.  I figured since it’s a glow in the dark run that an 80’s theme would be perfect (since the 80’s and florescent colors go hand in hand!).

Most of these songs are right around 150 beats per minute which would be a 10 minute mile pace if you run to the beat of the music.  Some are a little faster (“I Wanna Be Sedated”) and some are a little slower (“I’ve Had the Time of My Life”) but I included them because, hello…the Ramones!  Dirty Dancing!

An easy way to listen to music when you run is through Spotify.  I just make my playlists on my laptop and then use my Spotify app on my iPhone when I’m running.  Your songs will not be in order this way–the app will only play them shuffled.
