My friend Angela’s, Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup recipe became one of my favorites last year. I have passed it along to many friends and everyone always reports back about how much they love it. I recently made a tortellini skillet recipe and while I liked it, it just didn’t have the kick that the soup has. So I combined the two and made my own recipe: Spicy Tortellini Skillet Bake! I loved how this turned out and can’t wait to make it again!
1. Remove casing from turkey sausage and add sausage to skillet.
2. Add salt, pepper, garlic and onion and cook until sausage is browned. 3. Add can of Rotel, spaghetti sauce, chicken broth and tortellini. If needed, add more water to cover pasta. Add Italian seasoning and stir. Cook until pasta is tender. 4. Cover with shredded cheese and keep on stovetop until cheese is melted.
