Hey there readers! Thanks for hanging in there with me. I’m always amazed that you stick with me even during the times when I’m not blogging consistently. Thank you for reading and encouraging me. I’ve made some great friends thanks to blogging and I’m grateful every day for each of you!
Life has been a little difficult lately. I’m having one of those seasons when I’m struggling even with the little things. My Seasonal Affective Disorder has reappeared (just like clockwork–every August). I’ve been having some rough days lately and the things I usually find enjoyable (blogging, running, going to the gym) have fallen to the wayside. I’ve not been caring for myself like I should and it’s starting to affect my relationships with the people I love the most. My kids have heard me raise my voice more lately than I should and my husband has gotten, at best, mediocre quality time with me.
I’m going to take the month of September to really take care of myself and try to get back to a place of wellness because I feel anything but well at the moment.
Long story short, I’m going to be taking a little more time off from Simply Healthy Mama. My posts have been sporadic here and will continue to be so for at least another month. You can follow me on Instagram and Facebook to see what I’m up to and please send some good vibes and some prayers my way.
Side note, because I’ve had so many people asking: We have finished our adoption home study and only have one more meeting and one more inspection before submitting our application to the state. We’re getting very close to licensure–which is another reason I need a little break to get myself healthy again! We can not wait to add another little girl to our family!
